Lever for Change Website Redesign

 

CLIENT: Lever for Change | ROLE: Creative Director, Content Strategist

 

Lever for Change exists to unlock philanthropic capital for bold solutions to the world’s biggest problems—from racial and gender equity to climate change, education, and economic mobility. But as the organization’s digital footprint struggled to keep pace with its growth and evolution, its website became a liability instead of an asset. Built on a rigid platform that was designed for an outdated version of the organization’s business model, the site couldn’t showcase the scale or impact of Lever for Change’s work, and it lacked the features and flexibility to support the organization's ambitions.

Following a collaborative discovery process, we aligned on a creative goal to design and build a future-ready platform that not only communicates Lever for Change's values and amplifies its impact, but also works as a tool for discovery—connecting the innovative organizations in Lever for Change's network with funders looking to make a difference. Working closely with both the Lever for Change and MacArthur Foundation teams, we delivered a streamlined, modern, and scalable new website built on a flexible WordPress content management system that seamlessly integrates with Lever for Change’s Airtable database.

Threespot's creative process focused on storytelling, design, and technology in equal measure—building a site that elevates the voices of changemakers, removes friction for content creators, and positions Lever for Change as an independent force in the world of social impact philanthropy.
